  • Teams can consist of two or four persons. Four person teams must have at least one racer of the opposite gender. Two person teams can be any combination.

  • All team members must complete the course as marked and finish together.

  • The Team captains must attend the Friday pre-race information and safety meeting.

  • All racers are strongly advised to attend Friday's meeting to sign any necessary paperwork.

  • The team's entry fee must be received prior to the start of the race.

  • Life jackets must be worn at all times during the Ride on the River.

  • No GPS units are permitted during any portion of the race.

  • Each team is responsible for their own sports beverages and food during the race.

  • Water may be supplied at designated check points, however, it is not guaranteed. Ultimately, it is the participant's responsibility to have his/her own water. Water can be refilled at each transition area by aide of a support team.

  • The race officials may provide water and some high carbohydrate food at various check points throughout the race. There will be no water stations set up between checkpoints.

  • There will be cut-off times for each section of the race.

  • Each team must provide its own gear and race support. Teams must provide their own life jackets and oars.

  • The Orienteering Course is confidential. Only the race officials will know the checkpoints during this section of the race. Each checkpoint will be confirmed by GPS.

  • Teams CAN NOT accept assistance from spectators or teams not competing in the race.

  • Teams CAN accept assistance from other teams still competing in the race.

  • Teams will be disqualified if caught "blocking" or preventing other teams from passing.

  • The event's medical personnel can detain a racer to perform an injury check.

  • In case of personal injury, the event's medical staff has final ruling on the racer's ability to finish the race.

  • The Midwest Monster Adventure Challenge is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
